Snowboarding still has a worldwide
shortage of snowboard instructors- probably because
we all want to ride as much as possible ourselves - so there's
never been a better time to get qualified. There's loads
of work available at the UK centres and on the snow in Europe,
USA, Canada and New Zealand.
There are a number of ways of getting qualified to teach
in the UK. Training abroad is also becoming very popular
too as you can combine it with an extended stay on the snow.
However, anybody wanting to start snowboard
instructor training, should make sure that
they are training with a recognised organisation and qualification
system.
We'll be bringing you the lowdown on the training options
and the widest possible choice, wherever you want to teach.
There are many organisation to train with at varying costs.
It's advisable to take some time to consider exactly what
you want from teaching, where
you want to teach, the various work opportunities available,
qualification recognition
and how much you can afford. More

Many riders reach a very high riding standard without any
coaching, but by learning and progressing through their
own high levels of motivation, determination, dedication
and skill.
However, the demand for quality snowboard
coaching is rising every year both from the good recreational
riders wanting to improve their own riding and the pro riders
battling it out in the world's toughest comps. A well trained
and experienced coach can make a big difference to a rider's
progression. Coaching is the next step on from Instruction.
